Tahquamenon Falls


Yes, these are three pictures of the same sign, but the girls were too cute to just choose one...




On the walk from our campsite down to see the falls, there were two lovely, wild creatures:


One of the girls' favorite parts of the day was seeing this chipmunk.  He's eating a huge mushroom in that tree!


Now that they are older, the girlies can ferry us around!  We rented a rowboat to go from one side of the river to a little island in the middle.

And oh, did I feel it on the way back up!


Tahq Falls (different section) after a huge rainstorm.  Believe it or not, we actually did see people swimming and playing in this raging water, despite the numerous postings warning of the "beautiful but treacherous" Tahquamenon.



This is one of the best photos of the trip, because it shows what the whole thing was about - being together.
