It was a beautiful day for two great events!
Balloons Over Bavaria is Frankenmuth's balloon festival! It was pretty breezy, though, so only a few of the balloons actually took off. The rest were shown during the "glow" at night.

Dog Bowl was super fun for the girls to watch! Apparently, it's America's largest Olympic-style dog bowl event! Who knew Frankenmuth was such a destination for doggie athletes? Our favorite events were the Border Collie sheepherding demonstration, a dog agility contest, wiener dog races, and especially the "Big Air Wave" competition in which the dogs were released by their owners and then had to run to the end of a dock and jump as far as they could into the water!
We didn't get any photos of the competitions, but there were some notable dogs on display...
