Lydia turned 9! Actually, her birthday in November but we had her party in December so we could celebrate in our new house. Since her party was after her birthday, let's pretend it's okay for this blog post to be late, too.
We had family over for lunch, cake and presents, and finally went to the ice skating rink with the 5 kids.
The birthday girl requested an "ice skate" cake. Since Mama doesn't know how to make an ice skate cake, Daddy went to the store and bought these doll-sized skates to put on top. Bonus for her AG dolls- now they have skates!

Notice the sliced-up carpet under the tables?
About 10 days later we had all the carpet replaced.
