It's no secret we LOVE horses around here (well, some of us do)! Horseback riding lessons are mighty expensive in these here parts. (The girls will have good grammar before leaving home for the big city, y'all, don't fret.) Fortunately, there's Pony Day!
A homeschooling family about 2 hours east of here has several horses and ponies and they make their farm available to homeschoolers twice a month for only $10 per family! A great bargain!
The girls have been to Pony Day several times now, and have enjoyed it every time. They get to groom the ponies, put their saddles on, and ride the ponies around a track in the front yard. After the pony rides, the girls lead the ponies to the back yard and help pick out their feet and groom them again before putting them back in the paddock.
